My name is Abby Lawrence. I am a registered nurse (RN). I'm a lifelong Diboll resident and graduated from Diboll in 2004. I graduated from Angelina College's Vocational Nursing Program in December of 2008 and from Excelsior College's RN program in September 2012. This is my 12th year with Diboll ISD and my 11th year with Diboll Jr. High.

Allergies/Asthma: 

If your child has any allergies or asthma, please make sure it is documented on their health consent form. If the allergic reaction is severe and may require an Epi pen and/or Benadryl, please make sure your physician completes the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Emergency Care Plan or Insect Allergy Action Plan under Medical Forms.

If your child uses an inhaler or nebulizer, please ensure your physician completes the Asthma Action Plan located under Medical Forms.  

 

Diabetes:

If your child has diabetes, your child's provider will give you a Diabetes Management Plan (DMP) to help manage his/her diabetes at school. Please submit this plan along with all diabetic supplies to the nurse's office. 

 

Seizures:

If your child has a seizure disorder, please submit a Seizure Action Plan completed by your child's provider. If emergency seizure medications will be needed, please contact me for appropriate forms and send emergency medications to be kept in the nurse's office. 

 

Food Allergies:

If your child has a life-threatening food allergy. please contact me. 

 

Immunizations: 

All incoming 7th graders will need to be up to date and have their 11 year old immunizations by the first day of school, which includes a Tdap Booster and Meningococcal vaccine. Reminders are sent out to 6th graders in the spring as well as over the summer leading up to 7th grade. Students who are delinquent on immunizations will not be allowed to start school until proof of immunization or exemption form is on file.
