Athletics:

Diboll Jr. High has a 7th and 8th grade football team, volleyball team, cross country team, basketball teams, and track!  Our coaches also share other camps and activities sports related throughout the year! Come be a LUMBERJACK!

Band:

Diboll Jr. High offers band for each grade level! Learn to play an instrument, be part of a creative team, compete, and show off amazing musical talent that you didn’t realize you had! There are also individual competitions that the band directors will share.

Twirlers:

Diboll Jr. High has twirlers for your pep rally and halftime entertainment. Twirlers are part of the band. Twirlers not only entertain but help lead the band too. Tryouts are at the end of the year for 7th and 8th graders.

Cheer:

Diboll Jr. High has a cheer team of 7th and 8th graders to cheer on our school. Cheerleaders work hard all year to encourage our school teams and school family. Tryouts are at the end of the year. 

Dazzlers:

Diboll Jr. High has a dance team of 7th and 8th graders to entertain and support our school teams and school family. Tryouts are at the end of the year. 

Student Council:

Diboll Jr. High offers a student council group that leads and encourages our students and staff throughout the year. The group is full of students with leadership skills that not only serve in our school community, but they also volunteer in many activities around the Diboll community. Parties, field trips, and fun activities are part of all of the hard work. Applications will be available at the beginning of the school year. 

UIL:

Diboll Jr. High has a very competitive spirit when it comes to competing with schools in other districts. The UIL groups compete in academic competitions in every subject. Information for teams and practices will be announced soon. 

Jacks 4 Jesus:

Diboll Jr. High has a student lead Bible study group. Lesson topics are approved by the sponsors and supported with scripture. Jacks 4 Jesus is for anyone who wants to come learn about God and grow their faith. Meetings are held in the DJHS Library on Friday mornings from 7:30-7:50 am. Be listening to announcements for our first meeting date.

Cooking Club:

Diboll Jr. High has an amazing staff member who allows students to participate in cooking activities throughout the year. Listen for announcements to sign up for an after school spot. These spots fill up fast! Everyone wants tasty food!

FFA:

FFA, or Future Farmers of America, is a student organization that focuses on agricultural education, leadership, and career development. Courses are now offered at Diboll Jr. High to our 8th graders.

STEM Club:

Diboll Jr. High plans to start a TAME (Texas Alliance for Minorities in Engineering) Club. This will be an after school activity with lots of fun. Listen to announcements for more information. 

Book Clubs:

DJHS Library will offer book clubs throughout the year. Students participating will be able to check out a book and add to an online discussion in Google Classroom. Students contributing to the discussion and finishing the book will be invited to attend a Reading, Reflections, and Refreshments party after school in the library when the book is finished. 

Bass Club:

The Diboll Bass Club is open to 7th & 8th grade students who have access to a sponsor and boat. Listen for announcements if interested.

Garden Club:

Diboll Jr. High has staff that love to garden and share their gardening skills in the spring. Listen for announcements.

National Junior Honor Society:

DJHS is starting its first ever National Junior Honor Society! More details to come soon!
